In 1865, a Confederate train carrying millions in gold vanished into the wilderness… and was never seen again.
April 1865.
The Civil War is ending, and the Confederacy is collapsing.
As Union troops advance, Confederate leaders secretly load millions in gold coins and bullion onto a train in
Georgia.
The train departs.
It’s seen passing through the mountains… but somewhere near the Georgia-Alabama border, it disappears.
No wreckage.
No bodies.
No tracks leading anywhere.
Gone.
Weeks later, a group of soldiers searching for it finds abandoned campfires, spent bullets, and broken lockboxes… but
no gold.
Some believe deserters stole it.
Others think Union spies intercepted it.
But to this day, the gold remains missing.
In the 1900s, treasure hunters claimed to find clues—buried maps, strange symbols carved into trees—but no gold was
ever recovered.
Could it still be out there?
Would you go looking for it? 👉 "If you think it's buried somewhere, comment ‘💰’… if it was stolen,
comment ‘🕵️’!"
