Bessie circles back mockingly close before darting off again.

wake.

Exhausted but relentless, Earl bursts from the field onto the dirt road, a mud-encrusted specter.

Nearby hunters spot him, rifles raised, whispering about a wild boar on the loose.

They take aim just as Bessie trots out clean and calm.
